Thoratec CentriMag je vytvořen pro snadno ovladatelnou a rychle spustitelnou mechanickou srdeční podporu. Systém je určen pro všechny pacienty s akutní nedostatečnou kardiální nebo kardio-respirační funkcí a může být využit v léčebném režimu ECMO nebo VAD po dobu až 30ti dnů*.
Systém umožňuje kompletní unloading (odčerpání - výkon až 10 litrů za minutu) srdečních oddílů dovolující maximalizovat potenciál pro případnou regeneraci snížené funkce srdečních oddílů při minimální potřebě antikoagulace.
